NSI Near-Field Short Course

Nearfield Systems Inc.(NSI), completed its first intensive Near-field Training Course February 14-17, 2000. There were 28 attendees from the USA and Europe. The course consisted of 4 full days of lectures and demonstrations. Content was a mixture of basic near-field antenna measurement theory and practices combined with more specific topics regarding NSI measurement systems. Session topics included Theory, Software, Hardware, Measurement Errors, Optics, Alignment, Measurement Techniques, Maintenance, Safety, and Scripting. Feedback from those attending has been very positive. It is apparent that the course content is both understandable and applicable to the issues our customers have in their ranges. Presenters included Allen Newell, Daniel Janse van Rensburg, Greg Hindman, Dave Fooshe, Bert Schulper, John Demas, and Karl Haner. NSI has and continues to offer similar more focused courses upon customer request.
