NSI Introduces Panther 9000 Receiver

NSI introduced the successor to the Panther 6000 receiver at this year's AMTA event in St. Louis, MO.  The Panther 9000 offers increased measurement speeds of up to 300,000 measurements per second and can support pulse measurements less than 1 microsecond.   This unit is a drop-in replacement for the Panther 6000 receiver.

________

New Warranty Program

Starting January 1, 2008, NSI will offer a 2-year standard warranty on all our products, and an optional extended warranty for up to five years. Qualification for the extended warranty requires procurement of the annual NSI hardware and software maintenance starting no later than one year after system delivery and continues up to a maximum of five years, as long as the system continuously remains under both hardware and software support.  Please contact the NSI Sales Department for additional information.

________

NSI At AMTA 2007

NSI had another successful show at this year's AMTA symposium in St. Louis, MO. NSI demonstrated live systems and products including the new Panther 9000 Receiver, a 50 GHz 300V-8x8 planar near-field system, and a fast scanning NSI-700S-80 spherical near-field system.

NSI presented nine technical papers at AMTA 2007.  Papers can be found on our website at: http://www.nearfield.com/TechPapers.htm#91.

NSI Paper chosen as "Best of AMTA 2007", see Stuart Gregson's, "The Use of Statistical Image Classification as a Convergence Criteria in Phaseless Near-Field Antenna Measurements"

________

Antenna Measurement Television (AMTV)

NSI is excited to premiere a new web TV network, Antenna Measurement Television (AMTV). Tune in here! The first episodes of our two inaugural shows are already available. "Near-field 101" is an education-based channel focusing on the theory and technology behind antenna measurements. Episode 1 explores the early years of near-field measurement and features an interview with recognized pioneer, Allen Newell.

Premiering on the AMTV Hardwired Channel, Episode 1 focuses on NSI Custom Solutions.

________

100 Complete Hemispherical Patterns in Less than a Minute!

NSI demonstrated the NSI-700S-80, a new fast spherical measurement system at AMTA 2007 in St. Louis. Aided by the new Panther 9000 receiver and Panther 7020 high-speed sources, the new spherical system acquired 100 complete hemispherical antenna patterns, each at a different frequency, in less than a minute. Pulsed antenna measurements were also demonstrated on this system.

________

NSI presents 3-day Near-field Short Course

NSI will once again host our Near-field Antenna Measurement Short Course at our facility in Torrance, CA on March 26-28, 2008. If you would like to learn about near-field measurements and missed last year's event, you can register for this year's course by downloading the brochure on our website at http://www.nearfield.com/ShortCourses.htm. This is a chance to learn about near-field measurements first hand from the industry's leading experts. Seating is limited, so sign up early.

See NSI at other tradeshows and short courses during 2007.

________

NSI Exhibits at EuCap 2007

NSI had a very successful showing at the second European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) which was held 11 - 16 November 2007 in Edinburgh at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) http://www.eucap2007.org/.  NSI demonstrated the 200V-3x3 planar near-field system and presented two well-received technical papers, "Techniques For Reducing The Effect Of Measurement Errors In Near-Field Antenna Measurements", Allen Newell, Greg Hindman, and "Probe Corrected Plane Bi-Polar Near-Field Antenna Measurements", Stuart Gregson, Clive Parini, John Dupuy.
