| DESCRIPTION
Model 901V-3x3 is ideal for measuring satellite antennas at sub-millimeter wave frequencies. The figure shows the planar test system that was delivered to test NASA's Sub-millimeter Wave Astronomy Satellite (SWAS). The mission of this satellite is to measure the emissions from intergalactic gas clouds at frequencies of 540-560 GHz. The NSI system provided extremely high planarity and thermal stability, necessary for tests at this high frequency. |

| CAPABILITIES
The system includes special thermal
compensation techniques to minimize the
phase change in the measurement RF cables,
AUT, and scanner. NSI was awarded a patent
(U.S. Patent No. 5,419,631) for this work.
This patented technology is incorporated in
to our Motion Tracking Interferometer (MTI)
product. |
