High Precision Granite Sub-mmWave System

DESCRIPTION

Model 905V-8x8 is ideal for measuring satellite antennas at sub-mmWave frequencies. The 905V-8x8 system provides extremely high planarity and thermal stability, necessary for tests at frequencies as high as 650 GHz. CAPABILITIES

The system includes special thermal compensation techniques to minimize the phase change in the measurement RF cables, AUT, and scanner. NSI was awarded a patent (U.S. Patent No. 5,419,631) for this work. This patented technology is incorporated into our Motion Tracking Interferometer (MTI) product.

The system includes NSI Antenna Measurement Software that operates on a Pentium based measurement workstation. The software provides automatic set up of scans based on the measurement parameters and desired output. Measured data can be processed for far-field or holographic patterns yielding complete characterization of the antennas performance. A single data set provides information on antenna gain, side lobe structure, beam pointing and cross polarization.
