The NSI-SC-5645 is an AUT mounting and support accessory for the NSI-700S-70 spherical NF scanner. It includes a horizontal, aluminum mast and a dielectric end support. The end support has dielectric bearings to support continuous, unlimited angular rotation. The aluminum mast is 4” (10 cm) in diameter and can support AUT weights up to 300 lbs (136 kg).

The AUT mast & tip support can provide many advantages. It can be used to mount long antennas – such as base station antennas – to the NSI spherical system without overloading the moment capacity of the PHI stage. This provides a unique ability to test a base station antenna, as it would be mounted out in the field. Additionally, it can be used to locate the center of the AUT over the center of the theta axis (center of rotation), and, in turn, shorten testing time. Lastly, it can be used to move the AUT further from the PHI stage to help eliminate blockage for testing and characterization at greater theta angles.
