Benefits of an NSI RF System

1.

Custom System Configuration: NSI provides custom RF system configurations to meet a wide range of test needs. NSI will work with Agilent and other suppliers to provide the best system solution to meet your antenna measurement requirements. An NSI RF system reduces your costs and risks involved in trying to configure individual instruments, components, cables and software to operate as a system. NSI has the application knowledge and expertise to insure system compatibility with microwave instruments, software, positioners, optics, antennas and probes.

2.

Factory Integration and Test: NSI will integrate and test the system at the factory and ensure that the system functions properly. Since the system is configured and tested at the factory, the site installation process is efficient and timely.

3.

Factory Verification: When an RF system is purchased from NSI, the complete system is tested at the factory in Torrance, CA to ensure it meets system specifications. If a near-field or far-field system is part of the purchase, the RF system can also be verified at the factory with the appropriate software and positioner equipment.

4.

On-site Installation [Optional]: NSI can install the RF system at the customer's site. The customer is responsible for site preparation, facility power, cooling, etc. NSI can work with you to develop a System Configuration Plan prior to installation.

5.

On-site Verification [Optional]: NSI can verify that the system meets its specifications after installation at the customer site.

6.

On-site Training [Optional]: Training can be performed by an NSI engineer who is familiar with the antenna measurement system.

7.

System Warranty and Service: The system includes a two year warranty if all RF components are purchased from NSI. NSI will repair or replace products that become defective under normal use within the one-year warranty period. Extended warranty and service programs are available upon request.

The warranty on Agilent equipment purchased through NSI starts when the equipment arrives at the customer's site. If purchased directly from Agilent, it also starts when the equipment arrives at the customer's site, but that could be months before the system installation. When NSI buys the PNA and uses it at NSI for integration prior to shipping, that time does not shorten the customer's warranty period; in fact it could provide several months of extra warranty.

8.

Documentation: Each antenna measurement system includes a System Operating and Service Manual. Manuals for the individual microwave instruments and components will be provided from the original equipment supplier.

9.

Delivery: NSI's RF systems are designed, assembled and testing using standard engineering and production processes based on NSI's ISO 9001 quality system. NSI will coordinate sales, engineering, production, test, and installation personnel to assure timely delivery of the complete system.

10.

Calibration: Calibration of Agilent instruments can be obtained directly from your local Agilent office. NSI offers a Panther RF system calibration, which includes receiver amplitude and phase linearity and NSI source calibration. Contact NSI for additional information.
