NSI has a long history of delivering millimeter-wave RF systems for antenna measurement applications. Beginning with the 550 GHz near-field antenna measurement system for NASA's Submillimeter Wave Astronomy Satellite (SWAS), NSI has developed unique capabilities to facilitate antenna measurements at very high frequencies including granite-based scanners and special thermal control techniques such as NSI's motion tracking interferometer (MTI) software. NSI's millimeter-wave capabilities are described more fully in the technical paper, An Overview of Near-Field Sub-millimeter Wave Antenna Test Applications. NSI offers frequency extension upgrades on most RF systems to cover the mm-wave band up to 500 GHz. NSI provides the system design, engineering and installation for mm-wave extensions to both Panther and PNA-based antenna measurement systems. While most upgrades are custom designs, two examples of mm-wave upgrades are shown below for W-band and V-band.
