NSI-SC-5200

4 Axis GPIB Motion Controller

DESCRIPTION

The NSI-SC-5200 is a 4-axis GPIB motion control system allowing a customer-provided host computer to control up to 4 axes of devices with stepper motor control. The interface to the host computer is the standard IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface.

The system includes a NSI-PC-5518-002 Motion control PC, a NSI-SC-5911-4 Antenna Range Controller (ARC), and our NSI-SW-5340 software which runs on the motion control PC. The NSI-PC-5518-002 Controller accepts the GPIB commands from the host PC and converts to TTL step and direction control which is sent to the NSI-SC-5911-4 Antenna Range Controller to control up to 4 axes of motion. The ARC can also monitor forward and reverse limits for each axis and pass the limit information back to the PC subsystem for stage indexing and over travel protection.

The system includes a 10' (3.0 m) interface cable between the NSI-SC-5911-4 and the NSI-PC-5518-002, as well as a 15" LCD monitor and keyboard for the Motion control PC.
