Palos Verdes

The area around Angel's Gate park, White's point, Cabrillo Beach and the Long Beach harbor is quite scenic. Although there are few formal bicycle trails here, it is relatively easy to bicycle in this area.

This is the entrance to the Point Fermin marine life refuge. The refuge area is outside the breakwater and has numerous rocky tidepool areas.

This is a panoramic view of the Palos Verdes pennisula from the Cabrillo Beach pier. The breakwater on the left continues out to sea for another mile, eventually ending up at a small light house. The Point Fermin light house is near the tip of the penisula on the left in this view. The Point Fermin wildlife refuge is just below the lighthouse. The Long Beach harbor is to the right. Some distance to the North via busy and narrow surface streets is the Southbay Bike trail. To the South via busy surface streets is the LA River trail and Long Beach.
